Next Realty leases former Wrigleyville Sports Authority space to Advocate

RE Journals – Affiliates of Next Realty completed a long-term lease with Advocate Health Center that will convert the former Wrigleyville Sports Authority into a new medical office center.

The property located at 3154 N. Clark St. includes 40,000-square-feet of ground floor space, 10,100-square-feet of basement space and a two-story parking garage for 115 vehicles. The new location for Advocate will house clinical services, internal medicine, cardiology, cardiac testing, obstetrics, endocrinology, neurology, x-ray and lab services.

Amy Levin, director of leasing at Next Real Estate, worked on the transaction for the firm and Advocate was represented by Gary Gazzio and Sharon Kahan of CBRE.

“Finding 50,000 square feet of free-standing retail space with parking in Lakeview is like finding a unicorn; it just doesn’t exist,” said Marc Blum, President of Next Realty in a statement. “While it is never easy to lose a significant tenant like The Sports Authority, this is a great outcome for ownership, Advocate Healthcare and the residents of Lakeview.”
