Virtually Unstoppable: Technology in Property Marketing

Leveraging advances in technology, Next Realty has embraced the use of drones and other tools to create videos that provide a virtual tour of available space.

The onset of the pandemic and the subsequent lockdown dramatically impeded the ability to conduct conventional property tours and necessitated that Next look for new ways to promote its properties. Its latest video spotlights 620 N. LaSalle St. in Chicago where new opportunities are available, including 8,000 square feet of ground floor retail space.

Because of its iconic status, the 620 N. LaSalle St. building’s location in the heart of Chicago’s River North district is well known by the real estate community, but the details of its extensive transformation and newly available space had not been prominently showcased until now.  With videos for several other properties already completed, Next Realty determined the best way  to reintroduce the building to the market and highlight the available opportunities was to create a dynamic video of 620 N. LaSalle St.

“Videoms are more fun to watch and provide a more sophisticated alternative for marketing properties and space availabilities,” says Next’s Director of Leasing, Amy Levin. “It allows you to tell the story of a property that is immediate and attention grabbing.”

Once somewhat of a luxury, a suite of state-of-the-art marketing materials is now becoming standard fare when Levin markets space for lease within the Next Realty portfolio. The property and space availability video roster currently includes:

“These videos allow you to come to market quickly and to put the focus on an individual asset and the space that is available, showcasing the potential for using the space in a way that makes the property come to life. Watching the video of the 360 degree view from the rooftop at 620 N. LaSalle St. is magical,” Levin adds.
